Kiso Hinoki/Hinoki
<Features>
A wood representative of Kiso, which is counted as the top of the five Kiso trees. The world's best quality coniferous wood. The annual rings are somewhat indistinct and pale yellowish brown to pale pink. The wood has a fine grain and a good fragrance. It has been used as a building material since ancient times because it remains strong for hundreds of years even after being felled, and has a high preservability. It is used in many shrines and temples such as Horyuji Temple. Among them, Kiso cypress is especially used for the shrine of Ise Grand Shrine, which is rebuilt every 20 years (Shikinen Sengu), and is considered to be the best building material.
