<Features>
It grows wild in the mountains from Hokkaido to Kyushu. Some reach heights of over 20m. The amount accumulated is small. The bark is dark gray and scaly. The heart sapwood can be distinguished somewhat clearly, with the sapwood being pale yellow-white and the heartwood being pale yellow-pink to pale pink. The annual rings are narrow and uniform. Compared to two-leaf pines such as red pine, the wood is finer grained, lighter and softer, and has fewer irregularities. Processability such as cutting is easy.

Architectural features, fittings, ceiling panels, furniture, Buddhist altars, sculptures, lacquerware, piano soundboards, etc. Dried wood does not warp, so it is used for molds for castings.

*Please specify "cross type" when purchasing at a stationery store. The spring is not attached to the refill. Please be careful not to lose it. To replace the lead, remove it by pulling it from side to side centering on the pen fittings. Turn the black knob refill slightly to the right and remove it.
