<Characteristics>

The division of the heartwood is clear, and the sapwood is yellowish white. The heartwood is brown immediately after being felled, but as it is exposed to the atmosphere, it changes from purple to purple-brown, and turns brown as it ages.
The wood is heavy and hard, making it difficult to process. It is shiny and has a good finish. Excellent durability and insect repellency. It also has dimensional stability.
