"Ballpoint pen made from Gifu prefecture materials" series

We have made writing instruments by carefully selecting wood that has been loved by furniture craftsmen in Hida since ancient times.
Utilizing wood, which is a bounty of nature in the mountain country of Gifu, the product has a unique design and shape that feels comfortable in your hand, allowing you to feel the gentleness of the wood and smell its fragrance. The pen barrel is accented with colored acrylic material, creating a cute and beautiful ballpoint pen.

Hida cedar/sugi

The border of the sapwood is clear, the sapwood is white, and the heartwood is pale pink to reddish brown, sometimes tinged with blackish brown. The wood grain is clear and straight.
The material is somewhat light and soft, has relatively few irregularities, and is easy to process such as cutting. Slightly inferior in water resistance. It tends to split vertically along the wood grain.

Most commonly used as a construction material. It has many other uses, including building materials, packaging materials, and utility poles. It is also used as barrel material and disposable chopsticks due to its splitting properties.
